Hi seniors,
I received a PPR from VO at the end of Sep, and sent my PP at the beginning of October. During the processing time, I travel abroad for about 3 months and I did not inform the VO about my travel (because they never ask).
It has been nearly 6 weeks since I sent my PP to VO, and today I received their reply to my query that they received new information to my application and they have to review, therefore they will not issue any visa and they will return my PP. Please note that after sending my PP to VO, they made verification call to my office and my boss confirmed that I worked there.

This is absolutely not at all normal. Could you please kindly suggest what kind of review they are doing now?
Thank you very much!

Hi,

They are doing checks on your travel history and this may take sometime so thats why they have returned your passport because they dont want to hold your PP for unknown period incase you need to travel, its fine dont worry they are just doing there work and once checks are done they will request you for it again.

Cheers

did you travel after you submitted full documents to visa office?? if yes then at the time you sent your passports you must have entry / exit stamps for countries visited so they found out from your passports that you tavelled. It would have been better at the time of sending passports that you mention in a cover letter that you have travelled after submitting your full documents. Now your travel history is changed and they will verify new entries on your passport. It can take time in weeks or months but hopefully not very long.

Which is your Visa office

It does not sound negative though, they may want to do some background check on your travel. To which country did you travel?

After the verfication is complete, they will ask for PP again

Thank you for your replies.
Yes I did travel abroad after I submitted full documents to VO.
Could you please let me know what kind of check are they going to perform here? Is it security check (to make sure I didnt commit a crime in the country where I visited during the processing time)?
Do you know normally how long it will take? Will it be months?

They have already called my office for background check. I am not sure what other background check it might be. Will they cross check with the Australia visa office (where I visited) to make sure I legally entered the country?

yes buddy they will contact immigration of any countries visited just verifying you entered and exited, one reason for this can be that you did not mention in your cover letter that you recently visited some countries.

Thank you wxyz
I have travelled to many countries before submitting my docs to VO, most of them are just a few days, max 2 weeks. The only time I travelled during my Visa process was the 3 months in OZ. Do you think they will check all the immigration offices of all the countries I have visitted?
If they just check my enter and exit, it should not be long, should it?

Dear Friends!!

After reviewing the above situation, I would like to clear my doubts. Appreciate if you guys give your comments!!!

I have traveled to Europe for one week and One week to UK in April 2004. The visas for Europe and UK were on my old passport. My old passport was expired before the submission of Application for Canadian immigration. Nobody asked me about my visits to UK and Europe and I submitted the copy of new passport only along with application.

Now my question is, at the time of passport request will they ask for new passport only? or I have to submit my old passport as well?
please reply!!!

Regards

Please note that I submitted my new passport without any visa. But in my child's passport, there's the OZ business visa.
