Today already 16 months..... Who can help me and my family... Only GOD !
Dear officials, on your official website you have mentioned :
“Complete applications under the new pathways will be processed within 6 months. (How long will it take CIC to process applications under the Caring for Children or the Caring for People with High Medical Needs pathways?).”
I sent my documents already 1 year and 4 months ago, on 2 September, 2015. Only after 50 days, on 22 October, 2015, I have received confirmation letter !!!!! (usually letter from Toronto to CIC taking 2-3 days).
Already I am waiting for 15 months.
I wrote letter to the Minister of Immigration, couple letters to Immigration office and receive the same answer: “Your application is in the process” and nothing more explanation.
I know also people, whose process has been lasting over 8 months and more. They are afraid to write about it in the forum because they are afraid to voice out there issues, since they may have to deal with immigration service payback. They continue to live in fear.
There are people in form, who state that their process was complete in 1 month. I think it is a way government advertises the program. But reality is that there are more people whose process lasted more than 8 months.
Dear officials, Why did you write false information on your official website ?

I'm sorry to hear that, we need to be patient, what are the officer doing? Why are they so slow? Are they busy to process our application? What are their procedures doing this? We wish our mail coming soon.

I plan to submit my application thru the Caring for Children Pathway Next month. Cass77 is the only one I know who submitted using this specific pathway. Anybody else planning on using this pathway? or have submitted thru the Caring for Children Pathway?
Hi, I am not quite familiar with this forum yet so please bear with me if I won't do it right. But anyway, I have also submitted my application for Permanent Residence under the new pathway. I am working full time as a Live-in caregiver. I am done with my 2-year contract since January 15th 2017 and still working for her until December this year. I sent my application on February 12th, 2017 and it was received February 15th, 2017. So sad to say, until now I haven't heard anything from them yet so I went online to sent an inquiry regarding this.

Its so heart breaking what i hear is going on especially with "fair and honest"!!!

I applied under the old pathway and i am praying to God to visit that office. Keep on calling them because to know nothing when its gone pass the timeline you have to keep enquiring what is holding up the process.

Have you requested your GCSM note under the Privacy Act on CIC website? You can request all your case note and you could be able to see all the notes? pertaining to you case by immigration officer

Hi, I am planning to apply for my PR next year, Feb. 2018. I just would like to know if anyone here experienced applying for PR even if 24 months requirement is not completed? Like for me, i lack 2 weeks. I came here Feb. 2, 2016 but started officially Feb, 17, 2016. My work permit is exactly 2 yrs. i would like to apply for PR already so that i dont have to extend my work permit anymore.

Also, i am planning to extend my stay here as a visitor. So 30 days before my wp expires, i would apply for a visiotr permit. Then a day after it expires, i will send my PR application.

Any advice guys?

Can I advice you to call CIC.

Because maybe you could extent the permit under the new program without a new LMIA!? Since it the same employer?

Also the fact that your employer had you on training is not lawful. You are in canada to work. That why you had your education and training as a requirement from your home country

Hi guys, I just received a letter from IRCC that goes like this:

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the Caring For Children Class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you concerning your permanent resident status.

Thanks be to GOD

I was waiting for 2 months and the wait is killing me, I can't imagine how others endure waiting for years.

Hi, I Am in similar situation. My work permit was issued on August 26,2015 but my first paid day was on August 31,2015 since I work Monday-Thursday only. I Am completing my 2 years experience on August 24,2017. Looks like I have a lack of one week to fulfill exactly 24 months. What should I do?
I applied for my wp extension based on my common-law partner wp (he is skilled worker). I was thinking if I should Just continue working for one more week to be qualified . Does work experience obtained on implied status count? Or should I Just send it without that extra week?
please And Thank you
