Emergency Canadian Visa

Hi,

My wife was just informed yesterday that her grandma back in Vietnam passed away, and her family requests her to fly back and be there for the funeral.
Our first problem was that she was in the middle of renewing her US Visa, when the person at the US Embassy told her that her Canadian Visa had expired. So I am wondering if it is possible if anyone knows whether or not my wife would be able to get a temporary visa to enter Canada again? She is currently holding a Work Permit, as she works in hospitality and tourism.

Her mom came over for a visit, arrives in Canada from the US tonight, and will fly out to Vietnam on Friday 30th, June 2017. My wife is hoping to fly out with her, if she is able to get a visa or some sort which will allow her to come back to Vancouver.

Cheers,

Andy.

ps, any help or info would be great, this is last minute, but I only found out earlier about the expired Canada Visa.

She will need to apply for a new TRV once she is outside of Canada.

TRV = Travellers visa? I am sorry, I am very new to this. I basically know nothing, I have been looking at the CIC website under emergency and urgent cases.

Sorry scylla, for sounding ignorant. Thank you for your help. I googled and found out what TRV is.

Thanks Scylla, for all your help and information. I posted another question on the forum to seek advice. I didn't want to make this one sound any more confusing. I am new to this and am drawing a blank.
