No onward ticket needed when activating permanent residence?

Next week my wife and I will be going to Canada with the intention of activating my wife's permanent residence, she has a temporary residence visa and the permanent residence visa in her passport and the COPR form. It seems obvious that she isn't going to need to have an onward ticket since it might be a while until we go onwards, but I wanted to check what someone might have to say about that.

Did you not get your answer in your previous post. People do short landings all the time to activate their PR and return to their home country to tie things up with the only challenge being having a Canadian address for the PR card which they will need to travel back by air into Canada plus of course ensuring they follow through on the instructions for goods to follow when they return.

Not sure why the concern about onward travel given you are sponsoring your wife and she is not for example applying via PNP where having no onward travel from the first POE might cause some questions to be asked even though not usually a big issue if supported with facts about intentions.

Also as per your other post make sure you remain aware of the residency obligations should this return to home country become some unintended extended period.

Thanks, of course it seems obvious she won't need an onward ticket if she's activating her permanent residence, just wanted to double-check that so we don't have a mini crisis when we go to the airport next week since we won't have one as we have summer holidays now so haven't set an exact date for returning to tie things up.

What has this question got to do with someone asking about travel ??
Hi there,
Thank you for the response. Actually I want to have my certificate evaluated by IQAS so I was wondering if there is any need of including my University of Cambridge advanced level certificate
