And I'm uncertain what my next step should be.
I feel horrible. Even after checking twice, I didn't include the receipt for the application fee with all the other documents. I found it on my desk after mailing the application.
I had thought I'd wait till I got notice from the CIC, or got my packet back in the mail but it's been about a month and no word. Since I'm in the US I can't call the CIC.
Since I have backup copies of everything, I'm considering sending another complete package with the form, birth certificate copies, and and explanation. But I don't know if that will trigger other issues. I've been poring over the CIC website and help sections but there doesn't seem to be a section for what to do if you realize you've sent an incomplete packet. And then I'd have all my backup copies out there in the mail, and it took me months to get those copies of my father's Halifax birth certificate.
I'm torn between waiting for info, or just sending in a new application. Can anyone point me towards a good source of info? I'm willing to pay for services if that's what's required.
