I sent that on nov 12th itself and on the day the letter was received by my wife, I knew it is PPR but after I got the scanned copy from my wife and reading it I was unsure if it is actually the PPR letter as the subject of the letter did not stated the words passport port request.
timelines of application processing for my wife who is in India
Application sent to CIC Mississauga - Sep 8th 2009
Application received - Sep 9 2009
Sponsorship Approved - Oct 1st 2009 and application forwarded to New Delhi
Processing started in New Delhi - Oct 12th 2009
PPR received via post - Nov 12th 2009
Passport sent to New Delhi via SPEEDPOST - Nov 12th 2009
actually they will not stated that is a passport request but definitely that was a passport request guys!!! Dont confuse yourself guys, 100% sure that was PPR!!! |

PPR letters are different. some of the visa offices require passports during the process, some while finalizing it. in your case they ask your passport in advance, so you can consider this letter a passport request, but it will take some more time to get to final decision. have a good luck! |

We live in Greece..What We can do ? Send an email? or phone?....We cannot find a number to phone to outside of canada.

We started processing ###########'s application on December 2, 2009. now im worried because we booked a trip to canada for the holidays how long normally does it take from when they start processing any help please

They don't know on the Canadian side. I'm going to ring the London office tomorrow morning.
No sleep tonight. Anyone any guesses? That seems a little short to me..

As mentioned in the October thread, and indicated in my signature, my e-cas status for my PR application, not the sponsorship, has been changed to 'decision made'. I compared it to other applications that are posted on Trakkit and they were shorter processes then mine which is a good thing.
I'm mainly worried because it was only last week that they received a second copy of a document from me that was accidentally left in Mississauga. I'm also aware that the London office uses email more then post to send confirmations. So why haven't I received anything yet?!
But back to staying positive, surely they would have asked for an interview had there been an issue..
Suspense is killing me.
