Hi all....well, I sent my application on August 25/09 and it was received by CIC on August 28th....realize it's not quite September, but pretty close so I figured I'd use this thread !!
Our application is Outland through CIC Mississauga and will then be processed through Buffalo as my spouse is American. I'm getting pretty exicted to hear something from CIC in the next few weeks and hoping that the whole process will be a smooth one!!
Thanks for starting the thread....I'll keep everybody posted!

Hi we will be sending our application on September 18, 2009. It is an outland Common Law application from the Philippines.
I have been here over a year and putting this together has been a daunting process, I can't wait to see this get mailed.
I wish everyone well and will keep all posted.
Regards,
Raymond.

We'll be sending the forms this month hopefully. I have a medical appointment on the 15th. I am also still currently waiting for the marriage certificate. It takes about 8 -12 weeks after the ceremony to get the certificate.

Hi Twix, is there any way to speed up receiving the Marriage Certificate?

@ Suin: We got married in Ontario, and it takes them about 8-12 weeks to process everything. In other places, I think you can get it the same day. @ UK2TO: Yes, that is an option--to send the record of solemnization first and indicate that you would be mailing the marriage certificate once you have it. However, we decided to complete the necessary documents before submitting it to avoid further delays. But if takes too long before we could receive the marriage certificate, then we might just do that. @ MsMobas: You can ask your officiant to mail the marriage license and necessary documents to Thunder Bay asap, where they keep a register of marriages, then apply on line.

So now, im starting to count off, i red to the other forum that the first approval letter that you'll receive takes 30-45days!!! According to post canada where i tracked my documents(applications), they delivered already to CPC-M. It was Sept. 11. I would say maybe on October 28, ill receive my approval letter as a sponsor.(45 days will be the longest days)!!! I hope my application process smooth and faster!!!
