Bull*censored word*.

I don't buy that for one second.

I MUST get PR- I have no option otherwise. If they leave the burden of proof on the applicant then it is in the applicant's own interests to submit as comprehensive, detailed and convincing application as possible.

For me, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING rides on that application getting approved. I doubt I am only one in this boat.

The onus is on CIC to make things work smoothly, not me. I've filled out all the forms, given all the evidence suggested necessary.

If they don't specify a maximum size applciation, then what can be expected of me? It is then up to CIC to ensure it can handle the caseload.

Your right but i know many have sent their app in a box,and so if thats what you have then you should by all means, but if you and everyone else sends in that then they can do what they like to the process time right.
We all know that every visa office is understaffed, and we know what the process times are doing right now(climbing). But if thats the proof you have then thats it.Cant fault you for thst,im just saying we know they are understaffed nevermind a way understaffed.
Anyway im just saying and we all wonder why the process times are so far off.

i disagree. my application looked like the original poster, and at most it would take someone a day to go through, and 2 days if they read every single word of every postcard, letter, email, and every line of the 1000+ texts we sent. i sent in 250 pictures, it only takes about 5 minutes to flip through them.

does that explain 6-12 months processing? no way. i bet you anything they opened our application, checked to see if it was complete, skimmed the evidence, then booked our interview. the interviewer probably spent another hour or two looking over the file today to prepare for tomorrow's interview. the rest of the time has been spent doing background checks.

i am fully expecting they will tell my husband that we sent in too much evidence, and he will laugh and blame it on his type-a organized wife. it will not count against us though.

Ours was about 400 and some odd pages. All numbered by hand. Took all night.
We probably didn't need to send a ton but I wanted to make sure I didn't look around the house and wonder if I should have sent something else.

Anyway, I have posted the pictures before but here they are. In a strange way, I kind of miss it.  Roll Eyes

I think a lot of people are getting the mistake that it is one IO and only one that looks at your app.Its not, many IO,s go through your app, thats why when you get your caips notes it says in one place medical good, then later another post, eveidence ok,then another and another until they get through it.it is all entered into a comp, then it is one IO that goes throught the notes on the computer to see what each IO has posted, and they might have not even gone through your whole file before one IO wanted an interview based on a certain part of your app.
I think a lot of people think your app goes in and the next IO available gets it.Nope not at all.The first IO goes throught he app making sure it is all signed and filled in,then it is handed to the next, they check on your meds, then the next checks your evidence and so on and so on.

I guess the amount of proof depends on the kind of relationship you have eg. if you've been residing together or apart, common law or spouse.  I know for myself we're not the sentimental type.  My boyfriend has never given me card (maybe thats the German in him Smiley and I was only able to dig up one that I've given him.

Our application was a fraction of the size of yours!!

How did yours get so big, if I may ask? Your CIC forms are the same size as the CIC forms I completed. Did you attach multi-page annexes  to each form?

Even then, that would not explain the sheer bulk of yours.  Did you print out every email between you. and include hundreds of photos?

Interested.

Those are both SIGNIFICANTLY larger than ours but I am happy with what we have.

I do have a question though... are you not allowed to put anything into a binder or something like that?
