Hi,

i am in Pakistan. I received PPR step 1 letter on 25th August. I sent the required updated information form, photographs and copies of passport on 26th.

As we in Pakistan can not send passports out of Pakistan, we need to go through step 1 and 2. Which takes more than 2 months. My medicals are about to expire in just under 3 months.

My questions are:

1. I just got UK student visa (yesterday). Is there any possibility that i may go to UK using this visa and submit passports there in person?

2. If yes, how long will it take (on average) to get visa stamped?

3. Will travelling to UK at this stage require any further documents/checks or delays?

4. Can i withdraw the amount from my bank (Proof of funds) at this stage? I have kept this amount in bank since July 2009. I plan to use this amount for my travel to UK expenses. When i get visas stamped. I will sell my property and will have the required amount as proof of funds when leaving for canada. Will they ask for proof of funds again (at step 2) when asking to submit passports?

Seniors please advise.

Thank you.

Khalid.

Firstly if you already informed CIC london regarding your currently living in pakistan than it is possible they already sended your CORP to CIC islamabad and if is the case then probably they won't stamped your visa in london now, so its better to get your visa stamp in pakistan and then fly direct to canada, and if it is not the case then you can fly to london and get ur visa stamp there in 2 weeks time, normally passport submission in london is on every thursday morning than u can collect week after.

I received PPR on 25th. Sent requested PHEP form and photographs with copies of passport not mentioning that I may get uk visa on 26th that reached there on 30th (August).

I got UK visa on 28th. On 30th I also informed the VO through mail that I now have uk visa and wish to submit the passports in Person.
Average time for PPR step 2 letter in Pakistan is 2-3 months after step 1 letter.

Considering this long they take to send step 2 letter. I think I can expect that they haven't yet sent my file to Pakistan.
Right?

Yes wait for their response and do write them that you have only 2 months left in medical expiry and you want to fly directly from UK. Best of luck

Bro!

There was a long weekend in Canada [3-5 sept] and London office must be closed during this period .But if u dont receive their reply in the current week, again send them your inquiry with multiple sources[email, webform, fax] stating the words"Urgent & important" in the subject as once if your COPR is issued by ISD ,it wont be transfered back.

Good Luck!
