hi guys

i am 26yrs old with 4+ yrs of experiences as marine engineer second assistant engineer on ships. i have done higher national diploma - mechanical engineering from Glasgow college of nautical Studies Glasgow,U.K.

i want to apply for a degree completion program in Mohawk- McMaster university combined course but they offer only part time studies.i am OK with it, but the college say the follow MSG to me please advise guys Roll Eyes

Please note that the length of time it takes to complete the program is highly dependent on course availability, as well as each student's academic ability and employment situation. Also, our program is only offered part-time in the evening and weekend.  Because of this, you may face difficulty with getting a Study Permit.

is it difficult to get study permit for part time studies, bcos this course is tailor made course for any diploma in mechanical or electrical or electro-mechanical candidates. on completion you will be awarded B.TEC from McMaster university.

any idea about this or experiences of such kind, please share....... Smiley

You should check out MUN or Dalhousie they are in Newfound land and Nova Scotia and both these universities offering some very good programs in marine technology/management/marine trade etc also try visiting www.tc.gc.ca  for more info on Canada marine qualifications.
