Do you have a valid Work Permit or is it in process? They don't necessarily check your LMO when you enter Canada as long as you have your Work Permit and TRV.

What do you need your LMO for? Did you extend your work permit? A work permit is not a visa, and a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) category W-1 (worker) doesn't allow you to work.

Does not matter that your LMO is expired; what matters is you have an employer who the Port of Entry officer can call (in case they want to check) that would vouch that you are entering Canada to work for him or her. You should land before the expiration of that visa though, else you start application all over again.
