Hi guys,
I'm excited to tell you that today my employer has received a positive LMO for my job position. I'm already in Canada, working in this company since October 2010, on PGWP (which expires July 27th 2011).

My questions?

1. Do I need to fill out the form for work permit (for outside Canada)? Mind you I'm already working in Canada.

2. I can't see the extend your stay in Canada form, where is it?

3. What kind of supporting documents (if any) do I need with my work permit application?

A prompt response in this regard will be highly appreciated.  Smiley

Thanks

Rana

You can pay fees and apply online nowadays and it takes less time than applying by mail. Your LMO is valid for 6mths I believe so you must apply prior its expiry date or current WP, whichever comes first.

All forms and Checklist, links for paying with CC and applying online are avail at  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp

My girlfriend got hers just under 3 weeks.

Is it true that the LMO could also expire at the end of current Work Permit?

LMOs usually have 6 month validity (meaning the applicant should send the application and must be received by CIC/CHC/CPCs, on  before the expiration date of the LMO). WP could be longer, depending upon the duration specified on the LMO or the validity of the passport.

My girlfriend got hers just under 3 weeks.

Is it true that the LMO could also expire at the end of current Work Permit?
