Thanks Can4Vincy.

Yes Zouk, sooo much time has passed since POS received my file and I had no correspondence for about 9 + months. I believe I gave them plenty time to get it together. I basically started receiving correspondence back to back. They don't respond to all CSEs and GEs but best believe they receive them all. I was surprised to get a response from them the same day I sent them my email regarding medical redo. Pretty much 2 hours later. If it's not an urgent matter, they won't respond but if it is, you will get a response.

The VO mentioned to me that his assistant is the one who went thru my file. He didn't even get the chance to look at my info so he didn't know my background info or anything about me. Hence, the reason I said everyone's situation is different. Everyone has a story to tell. Sometimes, we tend to forget that the VO is human. He is not there to judge us but more or less to see if your relationship is true by answering basic
questions and understand our situation of living apart. If you dont answer all the questions, it's ok. Who knows everything about their significant other?Huh No one!!!!!!!!! He asked me what car my husband has. I told him idk as hubby bought it about a year ago. I havent been to Canada in about 3 years plus im a girly girl. I wont be able to identify a 1998 buick from a chevy....lolz. That really is the truth. Plus, no where on the application is anything about personal property. I did not lose points for not knowing that. However, asking about hubby's employment, income, education etc is more important. I answered those questions....correctly of course.

Another important thing i noticed was that my VO didn't go through my call logs to see if it was really my
husband I was talking to. He just asked for them & I placed them on the desk. Same with the pics, cards etc. In essence, just be prepared. I only brought about 10 extra pics. In total, I submitted about 30-40 pics. It could be less. You dont have to send in over 100 pics and 800 pages of emails and skype logs etc. A couple from each proof is satisfactory.

Thanks for sharing Trini n Admirable, always helps to know what worked for others, although as everyone rightly said, each situation is different, so you just never know. I do find it very strange though that some applications go through in 3 months and others take 2 years... I mean POS must have something they use to gauge the processing speed, just wish they would clue us in as to what it was....

Congrats Trini....I'm soooo happy for you.

Champion D....I hv no idea. It all depends on the VO and how efficiently they work on files.

Zouk....I clearly know that this process is not a first come first serve basis. When you mail your files off, you have no control over what takes place. I don't mind sharing information about my experiences on this forum because the same way this forum has helped me, I want it to help others. I came on this forum seeking answers about this process so Zouk ask away. Well anyone can ask. I won't hesitate to answer.   Cheesy

Anything that you grow above ground you can bring Trini.

An Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) is a letter from the visa office to the applicant, advising them that their file has been received by the office, what to expect by way of time taken to process the application, and sometimes contains a request for any missing/incomplete documents.  This form letter also advises the applicant of his file number.

In general, it is for information purposes.  This may be why KG and POS have "decided" not to issue these letters, as we don't need information.   Roll Eyes
