Well I included proofs but so much time has passed since I initially submitted my file etc.

My PP expires in July....so even if I redo meds now, I will be trying to be so over with this process before the expiration of my pp and not meds. I haven't spoken to hubby yet in regards to med redo. I'm sure he will say to wait on the request.....Smh.

Hi guys! Im going through the process too...here is my story
Met my man while i was working in sint maarten...fell in love and got married 2 years later. So we have been married for 3 years now, leaving together in this wonderfull island for 4 years. We have a wonderfull little girl together, i work for an airline so i am based here but still considered a canadian for i am paid by a canadian companie. The best of both worlds!!
We sent the documents in feb 2011, got sponsor approval in march, filed received in july, status said they started working on the file october 16 and meds receive october 25th. We received an email from them october 28, asking 2 questions. We also needed a special police report for my love os actualy from colombia but living and working in sint maarten for the last 13 years. After asking thed m via email, they confirmed they received all and said in an email on january 16 2012 that an agent was curently revewing his file.
Meds expirer on december 15 2011...we have not redo them, hoping they will give him an extention....Voila our story!
Im french so sorry for the spelling mistakes!! Cheesy

Happy February Fourm Friends

First and foremost i want to welcome all the new people that are on here since i was gone. stay strong and we are all here for support.

second i want to tell you all about my husband's landing experience.

so we came in at noon on jan 29th. we reached the custom agent and the first important tip he gave me: anyone that is going to trinidad or where ever to pick up their spouse and they give you the declaration card on the plan you will need one for yourself and one for your spouse whether you are going to the same address or not.

so after that he sent us to immigration...i was allowed to go with him. so they guy in there just asked for his landing documents and passport. he asked to look at my declaration card so that he can confirm addresses. then he had my husband sigh 4 spots on the paper.

he then told us that it will take 6 weeks for the card to come in the mail and that wee can apply for SIN and health card with the copy of the landing paper he stapled into his passport.

the who thing took maybe 5 mins. it was super easy and great. also my husband was only bringing his clothes with him and so i dont know if people that are sending other things after have to do more. but everything was that quick and everyone was very nice and helpful.

we are now in the process of going to get his SIN card and health card so that he can get going on the job search. the day that we landed it started to snow and we spent an hour outside playing in it. he is feeling a little overwhelmed with all that there is to take in but he is really happy to be waking up next to me again.

hope that this is helpful and cant wait to hear more positive stories to come out of POS
