Good morning forum personels......to be considered common law you must live together for a year but do you have to combine your assets for a year as well or is it a gradual process or it doesn't matter how long you combined your affairs just as long as you established the living togethr date first?

I believe the living together date is the one you would go by. The others are just proof of being in a common law relationship.

SUPER EXCITING NEWS FOURM FRIENDS My husband got a call today and was told to come in monday with his passport and his kids birth papers and they were going to give him his VISA I AM FREAKING OUT EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our plan is that i am going to go down in january (well i guess it depends what the visa says) but he wants to be up here for my big 3-0 b-bday on feb 5th. didnt want to take him from his kids before Christmas. Hopefully this means that POS is in the holiday spirit and trying to reunite families. i will keep everyone posted with the next steps to come |
