My husband went for an interview back in Septemeber. He had to redo his medical and they asked for the landing fee and his passport at the same time. His medical was sent the first of November and we sent his passpost Novemember 15th. Im just wondering how long it will take to get it back?

I sure can. Application was sent to POS back in March. Our lawyers got an email the end of July stating that my husband needed to come for an interview. His interview was on September 13th. The officer told him that he needed to redo his medical. They sent a package to our lawyers stating he needed to redo his medical, pay the landing fee and asked for his passport all in the same package. We recieved that package October 17th. He redid his medical and sent it in the end of October and paid the landing fee at the same time. We sent his passport by fed ex on November 10th. The package stated it would take 2-4 weeks to process the medical. Our lawyers told us usually 3 weeks from the time you send in your passport till you get it back. We havent recieved it yet. Do u have any idea on how long it will take?

Thanks Linds! I imagine it could take up to a month- Sorry I am not sure how long it takes but i'm sure some of the veteran members will be able to help you.

Your process did not take long at all. Was the interview a smooth one?

Hes back on St.Lucia and I just want him back for the holidays!!! Im hoping he gets it back soon.
Yeah the interview went really well. The officer asked him alot of questions about my family. My husband said the officer made him feel really comfortable. He also basically told him just that he needed to redo his medical and not to come back to Canada till he had his visa so we knew from the interview that he was accpeted.

My file was xferred to POS in March so hoping I get some correspondence from them soon. They're definitely working on early 2011 files.

Thank you, I hope they get back to soon though and with no interview, preparing for it and the wait is horrible, I wouldnt wish it on anyone. There are so many what if they ask this, what if no matter how much evidence you have the VO is not convinced. I know there is no way they would deny an appeal as we have tons of evidence and we know each other very very well, but I've seen cases on CANLII where the VO in the interview seemed to have denied the couple for minute reasons when compared to relationship evidence.
