Hello everyone! This message is for "ALO" and "Charlie".... Okay, so in my own personal situation, my husband also has kids from a previous relationship. The children do not have their passports either. To get a passport in Trinidad takes at least 2 yrs, unless you can squeeze into a cancelled appt somewhere. So what we did, is take the children to a DMP that would perform the medical without seeing the passports. We went to San Fernando and they took the kids on just birth papers. On the application we included them and said they wouldn't be accompanying. We also attached a letter stating the reason for not providing the passport information and instead included copies of their birth papers. I called the CIC number and they said that would be sufficient. So that's what i did. Everything passed go in Mississauga. Charlie: Are you saying there could be a problem at the Embassy in Trinidad if the kids don't actually have a passport? Now i'm a bit worried

Hey there Canucky, I am here. The schooling is going. I think I am going to make this week my March break because I am tired of doing enough transliteration of the language. I am still sitting waiting to hear something. I really think CIC hates me and I don't know why. Hope to god the processing doesn't run away and leave me behind because I feel as if I am losing patience with my VO. I am so done thinking to myself that "today is the day I hear something" Wah gwan wid you an de gyal?

As long as you had the paperwork showing they were not providing the passports and were non-accompanying but still had the medicals, you are OK.

Iunno man .... it seems a bit strange that it will take this 7 weeks. You know what I wonder sometimes. What if instead of sending the PP to the CHC-GEO office, you take it in to POS and spend a few days for them to issue Visa. Have they ever given your hubby that option? CIC is so friggen bias. You don't know what to believe and expect from them. Rules and guidelines are put in place but 0.05% of the staff actually work by what is in those guidelines. They do their own friggen crap when they feel.

I totally agree their all selfish and bias in there. I wish if it was an option to take it in to POS ourselves. And we darn well know mails from Trinidad to Guyana takes a week or less. But what to argue, dem people dis like God, only dem can make the decision.

ah suh feddup with this process right now. Ah sick and tyed of waiting to hear something. I honestly think my IO is either dead (God Rests his soul in peace) or he is on some long ass extended vacation or he is on sick leave or retired and left my file tucked in some dusty corner..... whichever, I really hope they find it ASAP and get me processed. Can you imagine I have been emailing them since December and I haven't received a response to any on my inquiries?

Aowww I know hun, your one of the seniors and still just now we guh meet half the month and still nothing for you. Don't you worry, you gonna get good news soon, my prayers are with you. I just find it so wrong that they treat NON-trindadians the way that they do. Like for f-ing sakes, how are you gonna request for a new medical when the medical is still valid instead of the police clearance which was requested after the passport?!? Just thinking about it mek me blood boil I tell you.

@ Crusies30
I called cic just this past monday and they said that as long as we stated why you cant provide their passport info that it is fine and that you will still be able to apply for them later on down the road.
