Hi,

My circumstances are:

I have been applying for PR - Family/CommonLaw from outside of Canada (UK) everything has been passed in London UK and I need to present myself at a port of entry for an interview with the CBSA and hopefully my COPR. Whilst waiting for the PR application to go through I came to Canada on a TRV which I applied to extend and am still waiting for the decision. Passport was sent to London UK for final PR processing, received back via post to Victoria BC, the plan now is to catch a ferry from there to Seattle and back to do the POE interview with CBSA. I have verified that the CBSA office I will be dealing with has the authority etc to do this interview.

My question is:

What kinds of questions do they ask you in the interview? Are they seeing if what you say matches your application and they are getting the actual final decision on your application? Or is it more as long as you look like the photographs, respond to your name and can count they rubber stamp your forehead with a maple leaf and shout "next" ? Smiley

Hahaha, more like the second scenario than the first.

They ask you to confirm your address (so they can mail your PR card), that the only dependents you have are the ones recorded (or not, if you have none) on the form, and ask you to sign.  Hey, presto, stamp a maple leaf on your forehead, welcome to Canada!

Thankyou for this forum, I've used it extensively in the last 2 years for guidance on greyer areas not covered in official documents.
