hi,

I live in Pakistan. I have applied for immigration in Sept 2001. I got married in March 2002. So I sent the update to office in April 2002. But due to serious differences with my spouse which lead to separation July 2002 and then to divorce in Nov 2002. But I also get remarried in September 2002. But I didn't sent any update to Canadian high commission of this activity. In 2005 a letter came from High commission to send the original documents. I send then the documents and the marriage information. Now immigration officer is claming that i committed polygamy as per law my spouse is not allowed as dependent. I gave legal divorce in November 2002 but i got married before that in September 2002.

I think Immigration officer requires that I claim only spouse where as I have claimed 2 spouses. What is the procedure to declaim the previous spouse from the immigration case?
I hope some one will give me some clue in this regards.

Thanks

Mas

Wow what a tricky situation man! I hope all works out for you though as it would be terrible if this would be the reason for not being able to get a visa.
