Thank you very much jes for the info....I actually already submitted FBI/Police clearance during my initial submission of application  way back October 10, 2010, my file was transfered now to Los Angles and anytime PPR will be coming...so you think I do not need new FBI cleance since the one I submitted was already expired by this tme? Thank you very much for the help.

If you reside in the USA they may ask for a new FBI certificate.

You dont need new FBI clearance since you are now waiting for PPR.... in my case, FBI cert dated April 2010 then submitted together w/ full docs July 2010, got my PPR last June 2011 after 2wks of PPR.. I got my PP w/ Visa.

In addition to that I was not required to submit state police clearance, only FBI cert & Im wondering why others are needed to produce state police clearance. I also lived in 2 states in US.

Why do you think you need a new one?

If your first certificate was valid at the time you applied, then it is unlikely you will need a new one.  There's no reason to apply for a new one  unless CIC requests it.

This thread is old... state clearances were required in 2009, when this thread was started.  They have not been required for at least 2 years...

There are some exceptions - most, but not all states have their state databases linked to the FBI.  If you live(d) in one of those states that is not linked, well you might be asked to supply a state clearance.
