Hello All,
I just posted a similar topic and for some reason it disappeared. I want to ask if someone has requested a police report from Mexico, I will be needing this for my Spouse and right now we live in the US. We are not planning to go there so we may correspond with someone or do it by mail. I know that CIC will guide you on how to take the Police Report and I have read the instruction on CIC web site.
My actual question is how long does it take if you have no one there in Mexico to get the police report and you can only do by Mail, also does Mexican government pose problems on not issuing the PCC just because of no reason? Do we have to send fingerprints? I need this info because I'll have to take it and they only give you 90 days.
If someone experienced this, please shed some light on this topic.
Thanks,
|

My experience:
I ask my mom to go and check what I need, and they just ask for copy of my ID and $13 dlls fee, the certificate was ready the next day, I'm talking about the state certificate, no pictures and no fingerprints, the one on CIC instructions (Federal One with the PGR) as they said I'm waiting to them to told what to do.
So I recommend to contact relatives or friends to help you on this.
Hope this help.

It is very strange, I answer to this topic yesterday and I donīt know who erased it.
I am expecting the medicals and police reports too, I am from Mexico, what I know the visa office will send you some forms and you will be able to go to Mexico city to PGR to do it, you will need current (new) birth certificates and wait 2 weeks to pick it up.
It is what I know, I hope I am right.

If I can't go to Mexico City, can I send someone else to do this for me? Thanks,

CChabert, Thank you very much for your reply, do you know what it is called in Spanish, like the exact word? I already got the Med Request and the instructions for Federal must have came with it, I still have not received it in the mail.

Cool Albermex At least some light on the PGR certificate, and it really looks like a hassle, more if you can't travel to get it. i wonder if every Mexican has to travel to get it, i don't think so, but we'll see.

The state certificate is very easy, "Carta de no antecedentes penales". I donīt know what will be the exact instructions from the visa office to get the PGR...I think we have to wait.

Hopefully there is an easy way to get the Mexican police certificate...... specially for foreigners, I am not from Mexico but I did work in Monterrey from almost a year.... I contacted Mexican Consulate and they do not have any specifics... when I contacted PGR in Mexico city they told me that I have to either travel to requested in person or have someone there do it for me..... I am hoping the immigration officer will come up with an easy way for this process... since I am not from Mexico I would need to pay travel, hotel, etc... Good luck! Cool and you are on FSW? or PNP? I'm planing to move to Calgary how about you?
