Police clearance/finger prints

This topic has been well covered but I would appreciate some clarification. I already have my UK police clearance/certificate. Do I still need to get fingerprints taken? What is the most efficient way of having prints taken...local police, RCMP or other organisation.

PCC for which countries?  If it is only the UK and Canada, CIC will request the fingerprints for Canada if required, and you have the UK one.
