Hi,

I m based in Middle east, my visa center is london, I was in saudi for 3 years.
I want to know do I need to submit police clearance from Saudi Arabia
as per CIC site

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/saudi-arabia.asp

If your application is being processed at the Canadian High Commission in London, you are
not required to obtain a police certificate until the London visa office sends you a police
certificate request letter with instructions on how to apply.

Hi Rehaan,

Yes you do need to submit PCC of all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since turning the age of 18.

Hi rehan,

Saudi PP for London VO is exception. You need to wait for London VO to ask you for PCC from saudi. Most likely, it will be waived off... Smiley

Sorry, I misunderstood,  I thought you were sending you initial application now,  if you have already sent initial application which i believe is before 26th june,  then you need to submit the PCC with yout complete documents to Visa office, In GCC residents case it is LOndon.

Hi Rehaan,

The website does say that visa office wil ask you if they need it and they wil surely ask you about it. I have seen few applicants who also submitted the PCC from saudia regardless of what the link say because in the end they will come back and ask you for this and the only reason they have written this is because saudi police asks for the immigration letter for PCC but i am not exactly sure how other applicants got the PCC. I would suggest you to ask someone who has got PCC from Saudia as this is the first time i have read that visa office will ask about the Saudi PCC.

Cheers

Rehan the only thing you can do now is either try by your own means to get PCC so that you can send it with your docs or else mention this in your cover letter that why you didnt supply the Saudi PCC and also take a print out of CIC website where it says they will request if needed and send it with your docs.

hello everyone,

i'm on my the last stages of our application to canada, we have submitted everything, done our medical and all PCCs except for saudi arabia.  we have contacted saudi embassy in london and submitted all requirements 5 months ago and we're told it's still under process in saudi arabia.  i don't know if we will be able to get it, i have explained to VO our situation, they haven't send me a reply either....i have read somewhere that they do waive in certain cases...........

Hi Saki,

Yes some applicants can get it without the requesting letter of CIC, They get the request letter from their local embassy , attest it from foriegn affairs and go to police station  Wink , it is a very good solution for those who want to save time...BUT what will be mentioned in the certificate is that it was issued based on a reuest from the EGYPTIAN embassy for example and not Canadian embassy ,and the purpose is to be submitted to Canadain immigration ministry . I think nothing wrong in that . it should be accepted by london visa office, Police certificate is Police certificate , same criminal history will be mentioned regardless who request it.. what do you think Saki ?

Dear rehaan

moabbasi is 100% right, you are not required to send Saudi PCC, its an exception, unless VO specifically asked for it.

I have lived 10 years in Saudi Arabia and while submitting my initial application (and also the updated one) I did every efforts to obtain Saudi PCC but no success. Hence my application was submitted WITHOUT Saudi PCC. On the other hand, VO never asked for Saudi PCC, and finally I got the Canadian Visa.

CHC have their own sources to carry out background checks, so don't worry about Saudi PCC, go ahead and submit your application without it.

Hello rehaan!
In my case I submitted KSA PCC when I submitted full application. I got the request from the canadian embassy in riyadh for pcc. I just emailed them that I have on going application for PR and I need to submit KSA PCC. They sent me a letter in arabic and I had it stamped in MOF in dammam then gave it to the police office in alkhobar. Yes LDN will ask for the PCC at a later stage. In my case they asked for another KSA PCC with my MR. But when I received my MR with the PCC request from LDN, I already had my final exit from KSA. It was a good thing that before exiting KSA I applied again for another KSA PCC (same procedure about the letter form cdn embassy). I sent the KSA PCC again to LDN but with a letter stating that I am no longer in KSA and I can't provide a newer PCC from KSA. I also sent LDN a copy of my final exit paper from KSA and copy of the page of my passport with entry stamp in my country. I think LDn accepted our letter because now, they just want me to send them an updated police certificate from my country. I also stated in the letter that it is not possible for me to obtain PCC from KSA from my country.
Hope this helps

Sam
