Hello again,

I have already sent my papers to FBI in order to request the police clearance from there. Now I would like to ask you if i need to do the same with the state in which I lived. Somewhere in the instructions it says that "you might also need a police clearance certificate from the state you lived in, consult your visa office to see if it is applicable for your case".

we sent an email to the visa office (rome) and we got an answer saying "do what the instructions say". agreed, but the instructions do not actually suggest a clear answer! can you please help?

PS: I will send the FBI clearance later and NOT with the original application

Yes dear, you will have to send a Police Clearance Certificate from Greece and any other country u have lived in, for more than 06 months. Contact your local police station for further details, please.

Cheers,

I think Just FBI Certificate should suffice. Everything nowadays is centralized, so it should do the trick.

No need to send the state PCC from US. If required your Visa office will ask for the same during processing

hello guys, thanks for the replies

but

1) police stations in Greece didn't even know that they can take fingerprints... so believe me they won't help me with that

and

2) In the instructions it says that not everyone should send both FBI AND state pcc.

i don't know what to do. the state pcc is very expensive and I hoped that the fbi one would be enough. they are both in usa anyways...

Vangelis21 , I some how get the feeling that you do not want to drive your questions to closure. For this one it is simple, provide FBI PCC, sit back and relax.
