Hi All,

Are CEC applicants expected to also obtain and include police clearance certificate from Canadian Police?

Answers will be highly appreciated.

No, not as a general rule.  CIC will conduct a name-based criminal records check on you (for Canada).  If it comes up "no record" like most of us, then that's the end of it.  Unfortunately, some people have the same name as others who have a criminal record, and they are later requested to obtain a fingerprint based clearance.  But it's nothing to worry about unless/until you are asked for one.
