I had sent in my original application to CIO in Sydney on May 10,2010 and received the AOR on September 28, 2010 and have been asked to send the complete set of documents to the visa office. Before sending my original application in May I had obtained the FBI clearance certificate dated March 11, 2010. Would this clearance certificate still be valid since it was within 3 months of the original application(May 10), or do I have to apply again before sending my documents to the visa office in order to be within 3 months of this new date of submission(whenever within the next 120 days)?

Your advice and help is greatly appreciated.

YES, the PCC must be valid at the time of submitting your completed application to the the Buffalo visa post.
