Hello,

I have resided in several states in the US. Do I need to get PCC from each state, or only the FBI?

BTW, I will be applying in Buffalo office.

Thanks for your help.

I think you only need the FBI for US unless otherwise the consulate asks for the State clearance.

If I only reside in Canada and before I came Canada I had already submitted an updated police certificate to get my study permit, do I still need to request a new one just for skilled worker immigration purpose now?
My study permit application was one year ago. But I really haven't gotten any opportunity to commit new crime in my home country since then, because I've been physically here in Canada Tongue

Yes, they have to be no older than 3 months at the date of the application.

Even if I have never left Canada since I entered Canadian border as a student one year ago and carrying a police clearance back then?  Huh

My application was processed by the Buffalo office, they requested for police clearance from the state where I lived and the state where I worked.

When you submit your application - you ony need an FBI record check. If Buffalo requires a police certificate from the individual states, they would let you know at a later stage. In other words only FBI for now.

Agree! But CIC will only give you 90 days to submit. How sure are you that you can get the state police clearance within that 90-day period. Better safe than sorry.....
