My in-laws are applying for a federal skilled worker visa from the UK.

My father in law just got summoned under the road traffic act section 172 for failing to pay a speeding fine. He is going to be fined and have 6 points on his license.

My question is will this cause an issue when applying and will it even show on his police check as its a minor thing?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

canadiancoops,

failing to pay a speeding fine is not categorized as a criminal act, is it?
if so, then, this will not be put into consideration during the application process.
however, if your father is involved in a hit-and-run accident, for example, then, this will be counted as a criminal offense.
hope this helps...
