do we need to send a police certificate updated? Im trying to go with a WP to canada and after a couple of years ask for a PR.
should I take the police certificate with me now but will be 2 or 3 months old when I apply to the PR or do I have to wait and when I'm about to ask for PR I request my police certificate? It means that I have to come to my country (Portugal) to do that or in my embassy I can do this request?

Best to get PCC when applying for PR, if you get it now, it will be invalid in about 6 months (or so). Follow the link on how to obtain PCC

your country's embassy perhaps? why not make enquiries at the embassy?
