Hi,
I have applied as a Federal Skilled worker on 30 July 2009. I have throughly read the guidelines and I can qualify under the new law under Category 1 and skill level A under Federal skilled worker ( NOC 0711 as Construction Manager). My total Experieince in this profession is 1.5 years (in the last 8 years) which makes me eligible to apply. But i am not sure whether my other job experience (most recent one) will help me score points (to cross the 67 mark threshold) which does not fall under the shortlisted profession.

Can anyone advice me, can I score points of my work experience that is not covered in the short listed  profession..?  Although my current work experience is listed in NOC and fall under skill level 0 and skill Type A.

Below is the table which gives a clear picture of my full time paid work experience.

S.No   Occupation                NOC     Years of Experience       Qualification                Period [/b]
1     Construction Manager    0711     1 year but less than 2   BSc Civil Engr.           2001 to 2002
2     Sales & Marketing         0611     4 years or more            MBA                       2005 till Date

Please advice as to how many points should I assume on Experience according to new set of rules.

Thanks

I went through OP06e.pdf document. I conclude that if you have worked in one of the 38 job listed at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list for at least one year then you are eligible to apply for immigration.
If you are eligible to apply and when you calculate the experience points then you could also award you the points for the jobs you did that are not in 38 job listed in the above link, but are in NOC
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC-CNP/app/AboutNOC.aspx?lc=E

Can someone provide second opinion?
