hi folks,,,,

i applied in april 2010 and got my second AOR in july 2010.now its almost a year and in reply of my query ,i got a 2 yrs waiting time from CHC,delhi.

I showed all my saving accounts as POF,giving me a nominal returns and now when its not sure what is going to happen,i want to convert my saving account funds into a FIXED DEPOSIT,giving me an attractive rate of return,

is it advisabe to do so?AND if i do this,how should i intimate the CHC?

Quote ur file number and send an e-mail to CIC nd ur VISA office regarding the change....

do we need to send fixed deposit amount/letter (any certficate) etc etc as well while intimating CHC?

Yes, you are correct. Send a copy of you FDR or a certificate of deposit from the bank and mail ( surface mail) to your visa office with a covering letter (quote the immigration file number )stating that your funds deposited in the by way of SB account has been converted to FD for better return.
