I'm looking at applying for the Skilled Migrant visa through the Saskatchewan PNP. I've been working in Regina since February 2011. I got a promotion last minute and am scrambling to get my application prepared.
My current visa ends on March 16th, and I am naturally very upset to have to leave the life I've created for myself. And even more upset to leave my girlfriend here while I try to sort my visa out.

Has any one any advice as to how I can stay in the country legally while I sort out my issue?

Work permit is an option but I've been told that it's not the best rout and not guaranteed. My promotion is to an executive housekeeper at a downtown hotel.
Also, my experience is in hospitality not specifically as a housekeeper, I have around 3 years experience. Is it still possible for me to apply as a skilled immigrant given this?

Any advice is greatly appreciated
