Very good news sukhvir! many many Congrats

I am HKVO too. I do not how visa is issued by Hong Kong. Our Medical/and passport request came from Hong Kong. My outstanding documents (proof of residency for Aunt) was also requested by Hong Kong directly. and adress they gave us was Hong Kong China.  But I was asked to mail passports to New Delhi not Hong Kong.

My guess is there is Hong Kong Office department in New Delhi and they are receiving passports and issuing visas once documents complete, and medical received.

Not 50 it is 10 post requirement and then you will be able to timeline on your profile

i talked to lawyer today. he said NDVO has lot of applications so they sent some to HKVO. We don't have to worry but his guess is that it will take more time. people are waiting from 7 months after there medicals. He also said they have to issue visa with in 1 year after medical but yes atleast we can contact them in september to find out what's going on with our application. After talking to him i guess i have to wait for months not weeks.

Hark, we all need to sent passport to NDVO whose files are in process from HKVO and I guess same esukhvir did. My best guesses are


NDVO is sending passport to HKVO and after stamping HKVO send that to NDVO and US

OR HKVO is sending visa STICKER to NDVO and NDVO to check and stick them

OR HKVO is sending instruction only  and NDVO print on behalf of HKVO.

Yes, I agree with it, that, the HKVO is doing it fast. Our visa was issued by HKVO. The date of issue is "14/06/2012".

No man it's still the same application received ... I hope may be in July I here something from them...n my file was in buffalo n they close already so don't know wr to contact...do u hv any idea wr they can transfer my file? ... All we can do is wait...I m not worried abt it bcoz I m already working here in canada...time is going very fast here n enjoying summer...Wts ur ecas says? Good luck every1..

Nice to know you have such a positive attitude. Now, how do you know your file is in buffalo? I think you sent to Sydney and it should be at Ottawa as it is Ottawa sent you AOR AND MR in April. How you know your file in Buffalo? pls clarify.
