My mailing address is now showing in ecas.

did they just add the mailing addresses on everyone's ecas or does this mean that i'm a step closer to getting a passport request?

Me too I can see my address, but it still says "application received."
I tried calling CIC call center but each time I call I always get the "all our agents are busy... Call again later" message.

Hi Fafool - Thanks for your reply! What you say sounds really good! I just hope it goes to plan. Do you know how they send the PPR, is it via email or snail mail?  Thanks!

Hi QBCool;

It is via email. So, keep your eyes on your inbox ;-)

Cheers;

Same here!

Address appears... status still the same! "Application received"
i think its something that came with the website upgrade i believe... and its the same for everyone around... irrespective of the application status.
But lets just hope that we get a PPR mail very soon Tongue

it will not happen like that. per law, PPR should be initiated by VO outside of Canada. Ottawa cannot ask you for PPR. So, most likely, VO in USA will send your email to request passport. Before this PPR, you may receive email from Ottawa that indicates your file is transferred to New York, for example. Then, after another two months or longer, depending how efficient NYVO is, you will get PPR. Be prepared for this long process. What you can pray is that you get email from Ottawa telling you your file is sent to US VO earlier rather than later. That is the step needed to be done before PPR.

Well as per this link it seems that files will be transferred to Ottawa

Why Ottawa can not ask for PPR? I think, this is a new process after closing Buffalo. Let's wait.  Sad Sad Sad Sad

 @  Bkd1969... I do NOT concur. Ottawa can pretty much request you for passport submission to your regional VO. It just happened with one applicant. He received AOR, MR & PPR from Hong Kong VO. In the email, they asked him to send RPRF & PP to New Delhi. And some other documents to HKVO.

So to me, Ottawa can ask us to submit PP  @  a US VO, directly.
