My update: Nothing is happening........... At least when I spoke with my visa office ,they said:
"wait  6 months more for the AOR."

so sorry to hear that chirstine .. i know it can get really frustrating .. lets hope for the best.. i hope you get your medical requests along with ur AOR.. good luck and god bless u

Thanks manu, first thing monday I will call CEM. I already sent an email through their website too but I guess it's going to take a while before they answer back...

I m facing the same prob n I sent my application in Jan 19 2012 n didn't got AOR n just got one email last week that they transferred my file to Ottawa... So I m thinking that I hv my work permit n I can track my file by using client Id num that's y Sydney ns not issue me AOR n hopefully I ll get my AOR from Ottawa ....I ll update my status if I ll here from Ottawa .... This wait is very long ...






TODAY: I called CIC again. They put me on hold for 7 mins to check where is my application and CIC said. My file was sent to OTTAWA end of February 2012. and they are working on it.

I haven't received any letters or AOR from anywhere/anybody yet.

I am told to FAX a letter to Ottawa office to get further updates about my application.

What the heck is happening/happened?

Please advise!

so if your file was transferred to Ottawa, the your visa office must be Buffalo right and not NDVO?? please confirm on that so I can update the tracksheet.. cheers

Sorry Manubobby I don't have an exact date on this coz our DMP just simply told us that they will send it to VO 7-10 days and within those days they will contact us if there is a need for additional tests or medical process..no contact from them so far, I guess our medical went well..as for the "ecas-medical received" still no changes in my ecas..I'll update this forum if I got some new info

I need a little advice here:) It's almost May, and it means enrollment time for my children.  I am not sure if I would still enroll my 2 boys or not.  Based from the timeline of other forumers and all other things being in order, do you think a decision could be made for us by July or is it possible for us to leave by July or august? I really hope all of us have a decision made by then, anyways.. I have read an article, cant remember which one, but it said, the children of new immigrants can join school mid year or whenever they do the landing, and depending on where you would be staying, your children can go to a school in that neighborhood.. i doubt if its a problem.. hope this helps.. but you might wanna research a bit more just to make sure.. cheers

Hello guys,

My file is recieved at CIO nova scotia on Feb21,2012.on MArch 15th they encashed the draft but nothing after that.NOt even a AOR.Also i have sent an email enquiry to CIC.But didn't get  nything.Although i can check my status with client number and showing Application recieved.

Just worrying why didn't i get ny response after almost 2 months?Any idea what should i do now....

hi mate.. ppl from buffalo visa office had to wait even longer, just give it some more time, now that your draft is encashed, should be fine, it means that your application is complete, so dont worry about it, you will get your AOR and MR soon.. cheers

I already contacted a public school there and mentioned that as soon as you land , you can enroll your child in your neighborhood.
If you need a different school (like schools that teaches your mother tongue language and English),they will check if there's an empty place , if no you go to your neighborhood school

So I called CIC yesterday and the agent told me my application is in Ottawa. I didn't travel to canada and VO is Cairo and my application is forwarded to Ottawa without any new updates since 1.5 month
