Hi friends I have also applied for CIO and i got there AOR on 31-01-2012 . but unfortunately we did not received any AOR from NDVO .  .. they NDVO sent AOR even who got AOR from CIO after February .still need to wait?  and manu i have also sent my file to the CIO i did not sent it to NDVO directly so please modify mine track in your track sheet. thanks u hi sking.. your details have been updated on the track sheet.. please ensure the date that PF/RPRF was encashed.. cheers.. |

I just checked e-CAS with my client ID, since I dont have a file number I am checking with my Client ID.
Anyhow.
I just saw that they finally put my name on e-CAS.
Says:
my full name and "Application Received" when I click on that link no additional info is shown.
Is that OK?

Yes "Application Received" is all that you need to ensure for the moment. |

i had ordered my caips/gcms notes...for all of us thinking post ecas update with medicals our ppr coming .....my file status is still in progress... they havent inititated security and criminality check at all....file is still in CPP-ottawa...and expected due date to update Security and criminality is put as 31 jan 2013...so its clearly not in progress....so new timelines are only for doing aor and mr faster....hope this helps...

How did you find this out?
i ordered for CAIPS notes as per privacy act they will send u a detailed report on your file i found only medicals passed...security/criminal check not started is my status... CAIPS notes is typically activity log on ur file by CIC...whenever there is changes/updates to your file they will update the notes with details...as per canadian law if u reside in canada u can request it free of cost by privacy act...if ur outside canada u pay a fee of 5$ for requesting the same... hth prasamps |

Could the 01/31/2013 date have anything to do with the fact that you got your medicals done in February 2012? End of January of next year could be cutoff date by which you must have received your visa otherwise new medicals will be needed...not necessarly mean that it'll take that long but rather the very latest date by which everything should be done. All (Attn-Buffalo, VO)

hello. I also think so . January, 2013 is the due date of updating the security and criminality check infomation. It does not mean that this step has not been initiated yet. Moreover CAIPS file says very little about background check as these are completed outside of CIC.
