Hello,
This is my first post in this forum. Happy to see the discussion going on in this, thought i can share my experiences of my process as well.
I got nominated from Quebec.
Submitted my documents to Quebec Immigration on July 1st 2011
Received CSQ on October 20th 2011
Sent my Fed application as QSW on January 3rd 2012 to CIO, Sydney
Application received on Jan 5th 2012
Payment deducted on 25th 2012.
Awaiting AOR
FYI - I submitted only one payment form, my payment method is Credit Card (Canadian Credit Card) but at the time of filling the final amount for authorization i put in $1040 (including RRPF) and the same has been deducted on my card. I just attached a covering letter stating i have attached payment of 1040 (550+490) in order to help in the fast processing of my application.
PS: try not to use Credit Card mode unless you have a CAD card or you have issued your Bank authority to approve a foreign transaction on your card, since its bigger amount most of the banks reject the transaction from other country.

Congrats! I have a question though because I am in the same situation as you (Quebec Skilled Worker). Did you send your file to Buffalo directly or to the CIO and did you send your application from Canada or are you abroad? Thanks |

Thanks manubobby ...and Cheers for your confirmation... i wish i also received it by now...let me check them.
Karlzw - I guess starting Dec 1st all applicants irrespective of categories and locations need to send only to CIO. Just that you mention which visa office in your application accordingly CIO will send your documents to that office.
As stated by A52411940 - got medicals which is cool...thats super fast... i see your name with 9th January...you are nearing too...may be later this week you will be getting the acknowledgement

Thanks. I sent it to the CIO but they said that you could still send it to the visa office maybe that is what A52411940 has done. I was surprised that the CIO also sent the medicals. I didn't know they had that autority. |

I think according to the policy, we can only send to CIO and then CIO will transfer our documents to Baffalo. I am in Canada right now. |

Yes i agree...receiving AOR and medicals is interesting....once they send the docs only VO can rquest medicals... a52411940 can you elaborate if you got medicals from CIO? Even i am in Canada, in Quebec...but i sent my application 2-3days later than you...yet to get AOR...fingers crossed.. |
