Hi Guys,

I thought I would start this new thread here for everyone who has submitted their PNP applications to CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia in the month of December and January. Since this is a whole new procedure, I am assuming no one really knows what to expect or the timeline in receiving the AOR and everything. So, it would be great if all those who have submitted their documents under PNP to Sydney, NS to pool in your thoughts and timeline into this thread. Looking forward to hearing from all you peeps soon.

My time Line:

App Filed at MPNP: 28/04/2011
AOR: 18/07/2011 dated 30/06/2011
Sponsor Interview: 26/10/2011
LOA: 15/11/2011 dated 31/10/2011
File Transfer to Sydney, NS: 29/12/2011 hopefully it would reach the office on 04/01/2012

Cheers

Hi sset12,

Yes, I hope everyone get a response soon. I am sure, the entire processing time would reduce, as this new system has been introduced for that. Lets hope this new year brings everyone some good news. Cheers

Dear all,

Does anyone have any idea as to what happens after we send the documents to CIO? I mean, I got my LOA before Dec 1, so it had all the information and processing regarding submitting the documents to visa office, this is a whole new system, apparently on the website, it is mentioned that they have introduced this new system to reduce the processing times. But, I am just curious, how would 2 rounds of document checks, one at CIO and one at visa office reduce the processing times? And also, the CIO would be sending the documents to the concerned visa offices, and if I am not mistaken, they usually transfer documents via snail mail, and that would delay the process even more, anyways share your thoughts guys. Cheers

well the reason I asked if anyone knew is the the instruction guidelines that we got along with the LOA gave details as to what happens after we sent the application to the visa office earlier, so people who get loa now after dec 1 should be able to know what happens after the docs been sent to CIO based on the instruction guide.. so thats all i mean smarty pants .. hahahaha.. anyways .. good luck to all of us .. hi guys

i have sent my application to CIO Sydney on Dec 14th 2011. i am afraid of this new CIO system cuz there new rules and regulations might give us hard time. first of all instead of papers going to New Delhi it has increased one step further to do this quality check. don't understand when manitoba has already issued us the approval letter then why second quality check. doesn't sound to decrease processing time, infact it's adding more time and pain to us. i am also interested to know where i should expect letter from, i mean from Sydney or are they sending paperwork to New delhi and they will send us further information like Medical Request.

Thanks

My understanding of the new process is if CIO NS are happy with your paperwork they'll let you know by email/post that all is good...i.e. AOR....so I guess you'll hear from them first, then your VO. Stressful it is but at this point best to try not to stress until there's an actual need to stress.

Flowerbubu,

I pasted the below from the CIC website,

What Happens Next
The application process

Submission

Completion check: Once you have submitted your application, we will check to determine that all required application forms have been properly completed and submitted, the application processing fee has been paid, and that all required documents are submitted from the document checklist.

If your application lacks any of the requested documents, it will be returned to you. Failure to provide supporting documents in certain circumstances may result in the refusal of your application.

Acknowledgment of receipt
: If your application is complete, it will be placed into processing. You will be sent a letter that:

notifies you of this fact and provides you with your visa office file number
sets out some basic instructions for contact with the CIC office processing your file
gives you a brief outline of future processing steps

Processing

Review for decision

Your application will undergo a detailed review by a CIC Officer. The Officer will consider all the information and documentation you have provided, and will assess it against current selection standards.

hello flowerbubu and oldmiltonian,

I also feel the same way .. coz unlike before, we have sent our documents to sydney, and as mentioned on the website, if there is any documents missing, they would send it back to us rather than request for additional documents.. my only concern is even if they send back the documents to us, they would do it only via snail mail and further more, it is quite expensive to send the documents for me from India via courier (which obviously is faster than regular mail or speed post) and it would cause unnecessary delays.. from what I see, I am sure we would get an AOR only from CIO, and then they would send the documents to our concerned visa offices and from there, there would do the necessary work for MR, RPRF and PPR (again.. this is just an assumption and something I am hoping for).

Although, I did notice something on the checklist, which says we need to keep a copy of all the documents that we sent to CIO, which I again I assume is probably something we might need to do and send to the concerned visa office, mind you, all these are assumptions that I have made based on the new changes.

Whatever said and done, I just do not understand how doing any of this is going to help them reduce the processing times, from the way I look at it, it is absolutely unnecessary causing us painful and delayed processing times.. anyways .. keep pooling in ur thoughts peeps.. I hope we all get our PPR and MR soon.. Cheers
