Hello,

I need urgent some advise. I've got my PNP (pilot project hospitality jobs) and applied for PR at the end of May in buffalo. I am still waiting for them to get back to me.

I work for the company now for almost 2 years and i always enjoyed my work there a lot. We switched recently our management team and that's where the problems started. I got laid off work today and have to come in for a meeting with HR on Monday. I am pretty sure that they are cutting my position and that they are going to fire me or "offer me to leave" the company on Monday.

I don't mind leaving that company, especially with the work conditions right now, but I love Vancouver and Canada and I am really scared I will have to go back to Germany.

What options do I have? Can I apply for another job and just inform the general consulate about it or will I have to start the whole application process again? How much time do I have to find another job and how do I get another work visa?

I must admit I am lost right now. I never thought I will end like this. I am a very responsible person, I always did a great job and was very loyal to the company. Now I can't sleep or eat anymore, because I am so scared that I have to leave the country.

I appreciate any advise. Thank you so much in advance.

Send  an email/call to you PNP office... They r the best one to give you options... From what I know youu have to start the whole process after u finish your probation.. Since you already have 6 months experience, after u finish probation, u can reapply the pnp witjh the new company.. Also how much time you have depends on how much time availble you have in you r work permit left...

Now, here's your option.

1. Do nothing. In theory, it is possible that your PR application can continue undisrupted if one of these things does not occur: Your company does not notify PNP office that you've left the company. This will trigger your certificate to be revoked OR You are not being subjected to third party re-evaluation *which may happen at a later stage to verify your information / employer being valid although not 100%.

2. Inform PNP office that you no longer work there. This will instantly revoke your PNP application in Buffalo and you have to start everything from scratch.

You might want to take a chance with 1 or go with 2, it's entirely up to you.

If you do go with 2:

You've worked for this company for two years, now, it is also possible that if the PNP does not work out you can be eligible to apply under CEC class which is probably faster than finding another employer to initiate the whole PNP thing again.

I thought about nr.1, but my work visa states that I am only allowed to work for that company. What am I gonna tell my new employer?

just ask for a vacation so they can release you on vacation , dont work for anyone else , and wait until your application finalizes .  At the end of your pr application the government will probably ask you to send them an updated employment letter. So you need to convince your company to give you that paper.

sorry buddy, i believe u are working under semiskilled worker may be in housekeeping or kitchen helper am i right.
OPTION 1 : if u are working in above occupation than u r not eligible for CEC.
2.just explain the company about your situation and you need to work for atleast 6-7 months till your process done.or ask them any suggestion to continue the job. THIS S THE BEST WAY!!
3. otherwise informing to PNP there s chance for rewoke
4.if u not informing to CIC it will be cast problems.
5.if u have valid WP ( i hope u have to be becox after PNP approval you can renew your permit for further 2 years without LMO.
6.BECONFIDENT JUST GO THE MEETING try to continue the job all the best, plz post tomorrow about result. WE PRAY FOR YOU BUDDY!!

Hey can you tell me of the outcome of your situation. My BF is in the same situation as he has been laid off and has to suffer the consequences.
