Hi everyone, I can imagine our landed friends are busy but it would be good  to hear some more about their experience in Canada. I am yet to get my nomination from SINP but I'm sure it will come this month. The forum has been very enlightening! Many thanks to the regula contributors.

Hi guys,

Wow! Canada is wow!

Everything went smooth at the airport after landing. Was with a border official and it only lasted my about 5-10 minutes tops.
Winnipeg, Manitoba is cold. And as of writing this, its 9 degrees Celsius.

Its not bad anyway. For all those who are still waiting, just pray and keep your hopes positive.

I got a job the second week I got here. I've got to tell you, its a good thing and a very good pay. As a SQL Developer in a Promotions Company. Got my first pay last friday and it feels good.

I miss home I'll say. But at least, I'm happy.

Take care guys and HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

For most of you, after medicals, it takes about a month, then you'll receive a mail telling you to come get your visa. Cheesy Hope that helps someone.

Bye!!!

Hi huose,

It looks like new PNP nominees would have to first apply to CIO, Sydney Nova Scotia before proceeding to the visa office in Accra. Has anyone done this just yet?

Please share your experience (if any).

Yes...me. I got my nomination from Manitoba this year and i have forwarded my federal application to Nova Scotia and my money has been encashed so waiting for aor. Seems to me like extra layer of work and scrutiny before forwarding my application to my VO instead of just sending it directly to my VO. But from other people who are going through same process seems like 6 months is expected time of processing or more. Mine is just in the first month.

Many thanks for your quick response.

We'll just have to trust God for speed and favour. I'm certain the two levels (CIO and VO) will be faster than the former one (just VO Accra).

Hi Double A,

I applied to SINP so i dont have a lot of info on Manitoba. However, Manitoba's nomination process looks like the fastest at the moment. You might also want to consider the Exploratory Visit option. You can check online.

All the best!
