Hi,

im a canadian citizen and went to the philippines to marry. when returing to canada, what should i do about my status as married? do i change all my info stating im married in order to sponsor my husband? do i declare that i am married once i enter canada? thanks in advance. God bless.

1.  If you have taken your spouses surname (its your choice) you will have to change your Drivers License, Citizenship Certificate, SIN, passport and any other documents in your maiden name. 
2.  When you re-enter Canada it is immaterial what you marriage status is.  You can start the sponsorship before you get the documents changed.
