PMM ,

wife canadian citizen , im a mexican citizen , interview was held on june 25th 2009 , we got a refusal date july 1st , received on the mail july 14th  ,  came back  to my wife on July 3rd 2009 from mexico , entered canada on july 3rd on visitor , I told immigration officer at port of entry that my file was in process. passport was stamped as visitor, expires on dec 2nd 2009.

we are appealing the decision, it was filed on july 15th 2009. waiting for file to return to canada from mexico.  my visitor permit expires on dec 2nd , we would like to ask for extension so i can be here with me wife.

on july 14th 2009 canada change the visa requirements to mexicans, now we need a visa to enter canada , i was lucky enough to enter before the law was changed.

IF , AN EXTENSION IS REFUSED ,  what are my chances of getting a visitor visa with an appeal in process ?  if extension is refuse , most likely i will return to mexico and wait for the appeal outside of canada , but would like to come back to canada and wait for the appeal here in canada.

chances of getting a tourist visa to canada with appeal in process ?

thanks

Visitor permit expires on Dec 2nd , we received the note from the immigration officer in mexico , not the file but the CAIPS notes , my attorney says he doesnt see a reason for the denial , would i be able to extend my current stay ?
