PMM, RUPESHHARI and SENIORS need your advice:in a queue for final review

Dear seniors,

First of all I really thankful to you for your great efforts in providing us with really useful information.

I would appreciate it if you could provide your commnets on my case. I've been requested to submit updated docs, medicals, RPRF and passports at once in March 2009. I've sent them in April and still haven't received our passports back. Last time when my agent inquired about the case status Beijing Case processing centre replied that my application is in queue for final review by Visa officer.

I've ordered CAIPS in June and it shows that I and my hubby passed criminal check having code 1 and medicals seems to be OK as well. There are no results for my elder son who studied in Russia.

So my questions are 1) whether the VIsa officer's decision could be negative at this stage of the application?
2) whether background checks could be continued while criminal checks are done?
