I am eligible for PNP as well and my PR application is Buffalo since Dec-2009, with following time line

App - CIO-NS               : 25/Oct/2009
AOR - CIO-NS              : 15/Dec/2009
File Transfer to Buffalo  :  22/Dec/2009
AOR- Buffalo                : 30/April/2010
Current Status             : In Process (Since 8/Feb/2011)

will getting a PNP will be any help or not.

PNP is also a PR process... I guess u meant running 2 PR apps @ the same time - the FSW & the PNP. Well, that's perfectly Ok. As one materializes - w/draw the other.

^^^^Thankx for the answer Qorax, Buffalo is taking 2 long and I have 16 months Work permit left behind. I am still confident that my FSW-1 application will clear up by that time but just to be on safe side.
