PMM help,

I'm being sponsor by my wife, she's canadian citizen , I'm mexican citizen , we are both living in vancouver , application to be processed Mexico City, Our file is in the First Phase ( Mississauga ). then it goes to Mexico City

My wife is getting a job offer , a better job better pay to start on March 30th. we are hoping to have an answer by Mid April from Mississauga  as our application was received on Feb 25th.

At what stage of process does immigration checks employment from the sponsor ? wife does not want to hold or delay our case because she is changing employer. please advice.

is she gets to change employer , would this delay the application ?

** also , my medical exam was done on November 5th , 2008. Our completed application (package) was mailed to Mississauga and received on Feb 25th 2009. would i need to go thru medical exams again? if so, should I go and do them again, or wait for them to request an updated exams ?

Thank you

1.  Your wife's job change has absolutely no effect on the application, as long as she is not collecting welfare.  As she was supposed to submit the Option C with the application they don't contact the employer.
2.  Your medical is valid for a year, don't have a re-medical unless asked, my question is why did you have the medical and wait for 4 months to submit the sponsorship.
3.  What will probably add to the processing time is getting the PCC from Mexico when it is requested.
If you live outside of Mexico

    * If you are living outside of Mexico, the federal police certificate you will need is called the Informe de datos registrales.
    * The Canadian visa processing office in Canada or the Canadian embassy or consulate in the country where your case is being processed will give you instructions for obtaining the Informe de datos registrales.

Option C was sent with the completed application. she is not on welfare and never has,  she is currently working.

Do we need to let immigration know about the changes on employer if she takes the new job ?. ( some of the forms we sent has employers information)
you did mentioned that it wont stop or affect the process, but do we need to send an updated forms with new employer info to immigration?

It took us 4 months to send application to immigration after the exams were done because we tough we had a completed package. At last minute, there were some documents requested by our attorney. ei FBI report, which takes about 6 weeks to received, police reports for every state i was living in the past 10 yrs,  we also took for our honey moon  and decided to wait so we can include some photos photos, X-Mas in between, letters of recommendation from people that have known me and can vouch for me and my character because of the immigration charge I had in the US in 2001 etc . We finally completed everything by the middle of Feb.

I left Mexico at age 16th , would provide US school transcripts ( records) if they need proof about me not being in Mexico for over 6 months after I turned 18th.
