Send report: PM could not be sent to 'cheesycake' as their inbox is full!

Dear QORAX,

I am main applicant and my wife is dependent. We are planning baby but are confused whether it can affect our PR application process. What is your expericence? As you have posted similar querry in April thread, I am looking for your experience and guidence. As you have said Your wife was pregnent when you received your medical request. Can we go ahead with medical? Will they hold my application? How does dependent's pregnancy affect the PR application procedding?

Pregnancy per se, isn't going to affect your PR process. But, surely u'd not like her to take the meds (Xray) when she is carrying, would u? And w/out the Xrays u guys will not go ahead with the PR process, ie the PPR.

So, if she is pregnant - your Visas r delayed.
>Unless, u go ahead & still do the meds.

Next thing is the birth of the Newborn. If the baby is born earlier to your move - u guys cannot land w/out getting his/her PR processing done separately. Bottomline: More delays - till about 6 months.

The ideal situation is to avoid pregnancy during the PR processing. & similarly if there's a delivery - it should be planned to be done at Canada.

Hi Qorax, what happens to a child born to recent immmigrants to Canada. Does he get the full fledged nationality due to his/her birth in Canada or will his/her status be the same as his/her parent`s?
