Plz help!!!!Husband sponsorship-not filed 2010 tax

Dear Members,
I have an urgent question. I just found out that my frd forgot to help me file 2010 tax while i live outside of CA in 2010 and 2011. I stayed in CA during 2009 and had that year's tax assessment. I will be back to Toronto in two months and plan to file my husband's immigration application immediately (im a PR),Can i file without 2010 tax assessment or use tax proof of my country? or i have to wait till FEB 2012(time i can file both 2010/2011 tax in Canada) I paid tax in my country in 2010 and 2011 but it took a long time to obtain tax assessment here which I couldn't wait. Appreciated your reply!

File your 2010 Canadian income taxes now - you don't have to wait until April for previous years. You may get the assessment back fairly quickly. You can also include the tax form from your country as proof of income.
