can anybody help me about my college degree. theydont find the college in indian education resources bank  and they dont give me points they give instead 20 points for 14 years study only 5 points.how can i proof that college is acceredited.i have only 2 weeks.on my degree reg no. and etc. everythin is wrote .how can we satisfy the vis office.plz help

Specifically to India...

Every 'academic' College, in India, is required to be affilliated to, at least 'one' of the Universities, which has been established under an Act of the Parliament. Which, furthermore, comes under the purview of the UGC [University Grants Commission].

The UGC, nonetheless, maintains a list of its 'accredited' Colleges -- an 'academic course' thru which stands 'recognized' - by the GOI [Govt. of India]. This list is available here:

It'd be potent for the OP to Xcheck his/her 'college' whether it falls under the purview of that list. If Yes -- not to worry. If No -- Danger... his course of study, then, isn't 'recognized' [by the GOI; and thus, neither by the CIC].

my college is  dr. schuessler medical college in kolkata is affilated to the bochemic medical council of kolkata but i cant find in the list what u give me.i get now a letter from principal on the letterpad.and principal told us they have before website now they wipeout it cost too much.
biochemic is homeopathic.
any advise

i have homeopathy degree for 2 years. may i get for this points i have dr.schuessler medical college in kolkata.is affilated to the biochemic medical council kolkata.but this is not in list of grant universties of india. how can i prrof that this is not a fake college.i got extra letter from principal it should be ok

It may not be fake, but it is not registered, so CIC/CHC will not accept the degree.

Some advice would be appreciated.  On the link, I found the list dated 2006/7 "BEING UPDATED".   On Qorax' suggestion I checked out Fr. Agnel's College and could only find one in GOA on the approved list.  I googled the actual college and wonder if the following information means it would be accepted by CIC?  (The years of attendance were 1996-2000.)

It may not be fake, but it is not registered, so CIC/CHC will not accept the degree.

1. Search in the Medical Council of India DB.
2. Ask your college for accreditation proof.
3. Which university granted you the degree? Ask them. (only universities or ugc approved institutions can confer degrees)

If you do get any proof that your college is accredited, send that proof with a cover letter to the VO. If not, start working on getting an accredited degree, for the betterment of your life.
