Hi All,
I am on F1 visa in USA (TEXAS) and I want to apply for PR to Canada.
Can anybody please let me know,
1. How to get a police clearance certificate from India for applying PR to Canada. I know that one can do it from India or Indian Embassy in USA. I have already got the police clearance certificates from FBI and Texas state. But which is a simpler procedure to do it form India.
2. Can my parents get the clearance certificate from India (Punjab where i originally come from) for me?
3.. If someone already did it, can you please send me the standard format or the Language on the certificate as I do not want my parents to run from pillar to post in India for this job.
4. When would i actually need this certificate? Do i need this certificate when i send my application to CIO or later when my application goes to local Visa Office.
Please reply immediately if anyone has got any idea about it.

Thanks in Anticipation..

The simplest is from the Embassy of India or the office from which your passport was issued in India. Yes your parents can certainly contact if they can manage. In India it always matters who you are... Best of luck.
