Plz. help me to know about my education assesment

Hi dear members,
m frm punjab, india and interested in canada imm. under skilled worker category.
I've done 4 years B.tech. degree(full-time)(computer sc.) after 10+2 and 2 years PGDBA(frm symbiosis distance centre)(part time).
i've got 4 years of job exp. and working as Asstt. Manager(Computer Services) in a PSU. i hope my occupation falls in 38 qualifying occupation list.
i want to know how many points will i get under education.
as PGDBA program is equivalent to master's degree and i've got more than 17 yrs. of study
but m not sure whether they will award me 25 points for dat bcoz its specified masters degree or PHD and 17 yrs of study.
pl. help me to know and any past reference is really appreciated.

as i want to get max. points in education to get qualified. just marginally reaching 67.

I have applied to NS and they have received the application on 2nd Dec. Waiting for AOR, hopefully will happen in Feb/Mar

If its equivalent to MBA and recognized by Higher education commision India then 22 points otherwise 20.

I have also done PGDBA from SCDL,Pune with AMIE(03 YRS) & DME (03) + SSC = CAN I ALSO TAKE 25 POINTS ON EDUCATION,
Pls suggest based on your experience and info you had.
Have applied for PR?
Pls reply urgently as our case is similar, I am also just reaching 67,if I get 25 points then , I have earn 11 point in IELTS.pLS REPLY.

One of my friend did Bcom and 1 years PGDIT from Sikkim Manipal University. PGDIT is distance education but he expect 22 points but cic delhi only give 20 points. Now I'm confuse on distance education. does distance education count as normal other university course.

Hi Ravvy,

as per my info. they dont consider 2 yrs. PG diploma program as equivalent to Post graduate degree and dont award points for dat.
i havnt applied yet n have to wait 2-3 months for personal reasons.
well also have to score 11 point in IELTS to reaach 67.
is dat tough to get 11 ponits in IELTS?

If you look on OP6, they do count distance learning but you probably got 20points because they didn't consider PGDIT to be a masters degree.

see its is bcoz ur frnd has got 1 yr Diploma so he got 20 points.
its clearly written there as "You have a three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   22 points"


CHC do consider correspondance n part tym study. thing is it must be either diploma or degree as the case may be
and one must have completed the required number of yrs of study

Hi friends,

I m looking forward to apply as Federal Skill Worker Class in "NOC 0213 Computer and Information Systems Managers"

I am listing my work experience with designations as below:

1. Management Trainee - 1 yr.
2. Computer Engineer - 2.5 yrs.
3. Currently working as Asstt. Manager (Computer Services) - 1+ yr.

my current experience falls in NOC 213 but i've doubts about previous exp.
although my total exp. of 4+ yrs. have same duties and responsibilties as that of NOC 213 i.e. computer systems manager but titles are appearing in different categories.

Pl. help me how to fill my job exp.
I need to ask that ,On the immigration form of Canada, where it asks for work experience, there are columns like

From         To                 Occupation            NOC
Y  M          Y M                  -----                  0213

whether i should my three designation with NOC 213 or different NOCs.
Detailed help in this regard is highly appreciated as i'm confused.
